Job summary

JMC Jefferson Medical Center is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to perform a variety of cleaning duties across patient rooms, exam rooms, and common areas. The role requires wrangling cleaning equipment, stocking supplies, and maintaining high sanitation standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include bed making for discharged rooms, trash removal, and reporting maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform cleaning tasks including mopping and sanitizing.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to wear PPE.
• Ability to read and follow written work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Makes beds following cleaning procedures for discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Maintains equipment in clean, working condition and reports issues.
• Moves equipment, furniture, and cleans walls or carpets as assigned.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
