Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe patient environment across patient rooms, common areas, offices and clinical spaces. You will follow infection control protocols, operate cleaning equipment, manage waste disposal, and respond to cleaning requests to uphold high hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and prefer a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, offices, and clinical spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and maintenance of patient care areas, offices, halls, and other spaces according to task lists and schedules.
• Observes assigned areas and takes action to maintain cleanliness and infection control; informs supervisor as needed.
• Reports leaks, clogged drains, and other issues for timely maintenance.
• Maintains supplies and restocks dispensers and consumables.
• Cleans and disinfects surfaces and equipment and handles waste as required.
• Cleans beds on discharge and performs terminal or high-sterility cleaning when needed.
