Job summary

Madison Valley Medical Center in Ennis, MT is seeking a Cleaning Specialist to sustain a sterile environment across the hospital. You will perform cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces, restrooms, and patient areas, while following MVMC mission and values.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CPR certification, and prior housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare. This role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and adherence to cleaning protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors building to ensure a neat and clean presentation and safe environment.
• Performs various routine cleaning and maintenance activities to include sweeping and mopping of all solid surface flooring and vacuuming of carpeted areas.
• Cleans restrooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks, tub-showers, and floors.
• Damp dust all horizontal surfaces, as well as damp dust and wash windows and window coverings.
• Transports trash, linens and biohazardous waste to appropriate areas using appropriate containers.
• Ensures all cleaning supplies for the entire facility are ordered and maintained at appropriate levels, safely stored, and labeled.
• Stocks and restocks closets, carts, supply room, patient, and non-patient areas.
• Maintains patient/employee confidentiality.
• Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Maintains and empties sharps containers throughout the building.
• Other duties as assigned.
