Job summary

Summit BHC in Charleston, West Virginia is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe patient care environment at Highland Hospital. The role focuses on sanitation, infection control, and readiness of rooms for patient care.

You will perform routine cleaning, linen handling, and equipment upkeep, following safety guidelines and SDS instructions. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience and basic English proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a clinical or healthcare environment preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain sanitation and safety of the facility.
• Operates cleaning equipment and launders linens as directed.
• Prepares rooms for meetings and arranges decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Follows infection control standards and universal precautions for safety.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and linen.
