Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Full-time Environmental Services Technician I (Housekeeper) for the day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with every other weekend.

The role focuses on keeping patient rooms, hallways, and common areas clean and sanitary, while following safety and infection prevention protocols. Responsibilities include responding to spills, waste disposal per regulations, and collaborating with the team to meet sanitation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year housekeeping/ESD experience preferred.
• Housekeeping/cleaning in medical environment strongly preferred.
• Customer service experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Perform dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
• Follow protocols for safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure proper collection, handling, and disposal of waste per regulations.
• Respond promptly to spills and urgent cleaning needs.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning and sanitation goals.
• Adhere to infection prevention standards and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent service to patients and staff.
