Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, CO seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, clean hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors, following established procedures and standards.

Daily duties include six-step cleaning in patient rooms, spill cleanup, waste handling, and cleaning in Emergency, Surgery and Pharmacy areas to prevent infection, with strong customer service and English communication required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare, hospitality or customer service experience.
• Strong English reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning in patient areas following a 6-step procedure.
• Clean Emergency, Surgery and Pharmacy areas to infection control standards.
• Remove soiled linens, trash and infectious waste per policy.
• Prioritize assisting customers and provide service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follow the organizational customer service script when cleaning occupied rooms.
