Job summary

Valley Health in Winchester, VA, is seeking a Manager of Environmental Services to lead daily operations of a hospital housekeeping program. You will monitor customer service, maintain sanitary and orderly environments, collaborate with clinicians and vendors, and participate in infection control activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree preferred and at least three years of housekeeping or laundering distribution experience, plus strong communication, math, and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of housekeeping or launder/linen distribution industry experience required.
• Excellent communication, mathematics, and technical skills required.
• Analytical ability necessary to determine staffing patterns, performance appraisals, and problem solve data collection information.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to provide in-service presentations on new products, interact with customers, and interact with supply vendors.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of Environmental Services in assigned area.
• Monitors customer service and takes pro-active measures to assure quality service.
• Maintains sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Interacts with administrators, physicians, clinical staff, and vendors.
• Collaborates with other department managers to ensure operations continuity.
• Participates in hospital infection control program and adheres to legal and policy requirements.
