Job summary

Coquille Valley Hospital in Coquille, OR is seeking a full-time Environmental Services/Housekeeping worker to clean and sanitize patient rooms, floors, fixtures and furnishings following established procedures. The role includes replenishing supplies and assisting with bed making as needed.

Responsibilities extend to restocking carts, handling sharps containers, responding to urgent cleaning needs, and coordinating with clinical staff on priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year formal housekeeping experience preferred; hospital or healthcare setting preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Insure that assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to departmental procedures.
• May set up furniture in conference rooms.
• Maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, and orders supplies essential to the job.
• Clean and store equipment properly.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs or housekeeping requires in a timely manner.
• In clinical areas, communicate with clinical personnel to determine priority of cleaning needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
