Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Housekeeping/EVS Associate to maintain clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing hospital environments. You will perform cleaning tasks in patient rooms and public areas, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure supplies are stocked while following safety guidelines.

The role requires ability to walk long distances, push a cleaning cart, and work with cleaning chemicals in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and follow material safety data sheets and cleaning chemical instructions.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and assigned areas to ensure safety, health and morale.
• Perform tasks such as dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing per policy.
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of equipment and areas.
• Handle waste disposal including medical waste and sharps following procedures.
• Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors and support customer service goals.
• Complete tasks under regular supervision within assigned facility/area.
