Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services associate to perform cleaning duties across hospital areas. You will follow established procedures, use labeled supplies, maintain tools, and ensure cleanliness of beds, fixtures, floors and surfaces.

The role requires physical stamina and ability to lift 15 pounds, with attention to safety and infection-control standards. Experience in an industrial or hospital setting is preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent pref.
• At least 1 year of experience in industrial or hospital setting preferred.
• English communication skills required; ability to lift 15 pounds and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions following established procedures.
• Use properly labeled cleaning supplies for each job.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Clean beds, bathrooms, windows, floors, walls and more.
• Move furniture as needed and assist with transfers.
• Collect garbage and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish soap, towels and tissue supplies.
