Job summary

Trinity Health Chelsea is seeking an Environmental Aide to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment in daily daytime shifts. You will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, disinfect surfaces, and ensure compliance with infection control and department policies.

The role supports patient comfort and operational efficiency within a busy health system. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), basic English skills, and prior cleaning or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; able to speak, read, and write English.
• Three months customer service or cleaning experience preferred.
• Certification/licensure: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain patient towers, public areas, exam rooms, and offices.
• Disinfect all surfaces and spot-clean carpet/upholstery.
• Change linens and make beds; operate vacuum cleaning equipment.
• Dispose of waste and report equipment repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Demonstrate safety, teamwork, and adherence to hospital policies.
