Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking an Electrician Phone Technician to maintain, repair, and install electrical systems across hospital facilities. The role requires diagnosing issues, coordinating with vendors, and providing timely documentation of all work.

The position operates 7:00 am–3:30 pm with on-call, weekend and holiday rotations, and requires an Iowa electrical license or equivalent experience, plus a valid driver’s license. A comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa Electrical License or 5 years of equivalent experience and education.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have skills needed for electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Must have basic general maintenance skills.
• Able to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and installs electrical equipment in the hospital, surrounding buildings and grounds.
• Monitors telecommunications data and voice operations to identify problems.
• Performs diagnostics to identify on-line or communications-related problems.
• Documents work and maintains SOPs accurately.
• Provides back-up support for Security Officers as assigned.
• Possesses good communication with customers, peers, and management.
• Responds to service calls and completes PMs timely.
