Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Trade School.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years in electrical trade.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge in mechanical, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Journeyman Electrician license with San Antonio.
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Master Electrician license with San Antonio.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical assignments for facility.
• Installing, operating, and maintaining wiring, control systems, lighting, and equipment systems in various settings.
• Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical problems using various testing devices.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical work.
• Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including work orders, schematics, and other documentation.
• May provide guidance and training to apprentices, less experienced electricians, or maintenance technicians.
