Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Salem, Oregon, is seeking a Supply Chain / Distribution Technician. This full-time, non-exempt role supports logistics, inventory management, and delivery of medical supplies to hospital departments; schedule is 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Thursday through Monday.

You will operate the department inventory computer system and EMR, take PAR level orders, restock carts, process freight, and help train new staff while maintaining organized storage and ensuring accurate

Qualifications

No formal minimum qualifications required; relevant experience considered.
Ideal candidates have experience in inventory control, distribution, or stock replenishment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory in and out with accurate issuance and crediting of supplies.
Operate department inventory computer system and hospital EMR; take PAR level orders and deliver.
Maintain organized storage areas and restock equipment and carts.
Receive and process incoming freight; generate delivery documents as needed.
Sort, stage mail and deliver items; provide phone support with proper etiquette.
Assist training of new staff and adapt to process changes.
Prioritize workload and follow backup plans during downtime.
