Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Distribution Tech – Receiver to maintain supply stock at our facility. You will receive and process orders, deliver supplies, build stock replenishment, and support inventory accuracy in a busy hospital environment.

This full-time, day shift role offers an entry-level path with no prior work experience required and a preference for some college coursework. You will contribute to safe, efficient operations and patient care through reliable supply management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
• No prior work experience is required.
• 1 year in supply chain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes various supply orders.
• Delivers supplies to the desired destination.
• Builds orders for stock replenishment.
• Replenishes crash carts and trays.
• Maintains and cleans stock locations.
• Loads and unloads materials within the storage facility.
• Participates in physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Handles supplies: removes all products from casings and rotates stock to assure all products are used prior to expiration date.
• Performs receiving, distribution and shipping functions.
• Follows department policies and procedures to determine whether to discard or clean and disinfect items returned for processing.
• Monitors stock returns and usage rates and notifies leader when par levels are inadequate.
• Surveys supplies to determine which supplies have reached re-order points and then orders supplies.
• Performs data entry.
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively.
• Maintains safe environment.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
