Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA is hiring a Distribution Specialist to monitor and assure supply and patient care equipment are maintained. You will resolve requests, input purchase order receipts, and coordinate with Purchasing to fix discrepancies, while handling returns and stocking the Distribution Storeroom.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control, plus working knowledge of MS Word/Excel and computer

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in receiving, distribution of products, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital Central Service or Inventory Control preferred (or combination of knowledge and education that would exhibit the qualifications to execute the duties of the position)
• Computer input/keyboard experience desired
• Computerized Materials Management system experience preferred
• Experience in using an electronic signature software preferred
• Basic experience in PC business applications including MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Verify materials and receipts documentation against purchase order and inputs purchase order receipts
• Coordinate with Purchasing personnel to resolve purchase order or receipt discrepancies
• Package and process supplies and materials being returned to vendors or other facilities and coordinates shipping
• Supply stores stock supplies within its designated Distribution Storeroom location
