Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• GPR/AEGD or hospital-based training completed.
• Eligible for unrestricted WV licensure and hospital privileges.
• DEA registration and applicable permits.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with operating room dentistry or medically complex patients is preferred.
• Academic teaching experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and surgical dental services to medically complex and hospitalized patients.
• Deliver hospital-based dentistry in operating room and ambulatory settings.
• Educate and supervise dental residents and medical residents in clinical and hospital settings.
• Participate in residency didactic programs, seminars, and case presentations; support curriculum development.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical research, and scholarly activities.
