Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Custodial Worker 1 at Torrance State Hospital to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. The role supports patient care by keeping essential areas tidy, including restrooms, dorms and dining areas.

You will perform annual deep cleaning, floor maintenance, and proper disposal of trash while following a rotating weekend schedule. This is a limited-term, full-time position with 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Restroom and room cleaning across patient dorms, wards, offices and lobby areas.
• Annual deep cleaning of walls, windows, lights, curtains, blinds and ceilings.
• Floor maintenance including stripping and waxing.
• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely.
• Trash and debris removal from indoor and outdoor areas.
• Linen distribution and daily documentation.
