Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, 1000 North Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045, is hiring for full-time Cook positions. Shifts are 6:00 am–3:00 pm and 12:00 pm–8:00 pm; days may vary.

Prior grill cooking, culinary, knife skills, recipe reading, and line prep experience required. You will prepare high-quality meals to established standards, follow HACCP guidelines, and help with portion control, safety, and line setup.

Qualifications

• Previous grill cooking experience and knife skills.
• Ability to read recipes and follow standardized procedures.
• Experience with line prep and food preparation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with proper portioning and temperature.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and storage areas.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and inventories.
• Supports ordering, receiving, and record-keeping for food and supplies.
