Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a skilled cook responsible for all food production within the department. Must know all methods of cookery and produce eye-appealing dishes on time. Performs related duties as assigned.

The role requires at least 2 years in food service, a Food Handler license within 180 days, and Serve Safe certification. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; medical benefits and tuition support offered.

Qualifications

• Food Handler license required within 180 days.
• 2+ years of food service experience preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to push, pull, grip 50 pounds and pinch 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food production across all department areas.
• Knowledge of all methods of cookery required.
• Produce a quality, eye-appealing product within allotted time.
