Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Coding Specialist II – HB Facility Coder to ensure accurate hospital and professional charges coding from EMR data for compliant submission.

You will educate providers, collaborate with internal teams, and help maintain coding accuracy and compliance across the organization, while updating leadership on progress.

This role requires five years of professional billing and coding experience, a coding credential such as CPC/CCS/CCA, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Five years of experience in professional billing and coding is required.
• Coding background and ability to pass internal assessments are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code professional and hospital charges and claims using EMR documentation. Ensure timely and compliant claim submission in alignment with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Provide educational feedback to providers based on audit findings to support coding and billing compliance.
• Communicate daily progress, issues, and provider-related concerns to supervisors and managers.
• Support follow-up staff by gathering and clarifying information needed for outstanding claims or charge resolution.
