Job summary
CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Manager Clinical Pharmacy to coordinate and advance clinical pharmacy services in partnership with the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.
The role oversees training, competency, and performance improvement for pharmacists, technicians, and residents while promoting collaborative care with physicians and nurses to ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication use.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
- PGY1 with 5 years hospital experience OR PGY2 with 2 years hospital experience; 3–5 years clinical pharmacist experience preferred.
- Board Certification within 1 year of hire.
- Pharmacy state licensure required within 60 days of start date.
- Pharmacy preceptor licensure within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop clinical pharmacy services with the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.
- Oversee training, competency assessment and performance improvement activities for staff.
- Lead antimicrobial stewardship initiatives with interdisciplinary teams.
- Lead opioid stewardship initiatives and educate staff and patients on safe practices.
- Chair the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and develop care guidelines.
