Mount Sinai Health System in New York is seeking a housekeeping professional to clean and supply patient and non-patient areas according to department procedures. You will operate floor care equipment and assist with conference room setup while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes cleaning, restocking, waste handling and disinfecting in a hospital environment, with possible use of heavy machinery and refinishing tasks as needed.

Formación

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Able to learn and operate heavy battery operated floor care equipment.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous floor refinishing experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas (bathroom, showers, corridors, patient rooms, common areas, staff facilities, public areas, and department offices).
• Details include cleaning of hospital/patient areas, dusting, sweeping, mopping, floor care, wall washing, restocking, linen distribution, collection and inventory, patient discharge beds, vacuuming, equipment movement, trash disposal, medical waste handling, and recycling.
• Clean and supply assigned areas using mechanical equipment, tools, cleaning solutions and supplies.
• Prepare cleaning solutions, supplies and equipment for housekeeping tasks.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, vents, windows, doors and other dusty areas per procedures.
• Clean bathrooms and fixtures, replenish soap and paper supplies as needed.
• Disinfect rooms, beds and patient furniture with germicidal solution.
• Operate machines as needed (floor care equipment, etc.).
• Follow department regulations, safety standards, and procedures.
• May require use of battery operated floor care equipment, auto scrubbing, burnisher, and floor refinishing knowledge.
