Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial performance and stewardship for an integrated campus network in southwest Ohio. You will translate system priorities into actionable campus plans and provide executive financial guidance to the Hospital President and campus teams.

This role requires a track record of healthcare finance leadership, strategic budgeting, and collaboration across system services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, including significant responsibility for hospital financial performance, budgeting, operational analysis, and executive decision support.
• CPA, FHFMA, CHFP, or another relevant professional certification.
• Experience within an integrated health system, multi-campus environment, physician enterprise, partnership, or joint-venture structure.
• Ongoing participation in continuing education and maintenance of healthcare-finance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive leadership for the overall financial performance of assigned campus(es), including operating, capital, productivity, and cash-flow expectations.
• Leads development of annual operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans with campus and system leaders.
• Evaluates and communicates financial and operational results, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to the Hospital President and system finance leadership.
• Establishes a disciplined performance-management process with timely reports, dashboards, benchmarks, and variance analysis.
• Monitors key performance drivers such as volume, labor productivity, revenue integrity, cost structure, and capital deployment.
• Ensures compliance with budgets, financial policies, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and fiscal integrity.
