Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami is seeking a Central Supply professional to support the decontamination and preparation of medical supplies in the Central Supply Department. The role requires adherence to Universal Precautions and OSHA standards as well as completion of department policies.

The successful candidate will help clean and inspect IV pumps and crash carts, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in Central Processing preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Complies with departmental policies and OSHA standards.
• Disinfection, cleaning, and inspection of IV pumps and crash carts.
• Operates and maintains decontamination equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance duties in the department.
• Inspects instrumentation for malfunctions and reports issues.
• Organizes and verifies medical supplies and inventories; notifies missing items.
• Retrieves soiled supplies and ensures equipment is safe for use.
• Manages rental and hospital-owned equipment and maintains logs.
• Acts as liaison between Central Supply and other hospital departments and vendors.
• Performs quality assurance audits as assigned.
• Assumes charge position when required.
