Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a PRN Barista to prepare a variety of coffee beverages and assist with food prep for the retail area. You will support catering and Doctor's Lounge while delivering fast, friendly service in a hospital setting.

Must have barista experience and be able to work the scheduled hours. This position emphasizes accurate cash handling, customer service, and teamwork within Food and Nutrition Services.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college is preferred.
• Ability to work the specified hours and communicate effectively.
• Prior barista experience is a plus for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold beverages to standards set by Food and Nutrition Services.
• Assists with cooking for the retail area and supports catering as needed.
• Delivers products according to the schedule for the item.
• Maintains sanitation and adheres to safety standards.
• Handles cash accurately and reconciles changes with customers.
