Qualifications

Must Haves:

• 3-7 years of experience as a business analyst in a preferably in healthcare, large-scale construction, or facility activation.
• Strong organizational background to help with meeting facilitation, feeding information to dashboards, etc.
• Experience designing and producing dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting
• Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Hospital Activation Operational Readiness Business Analyst to support a large healthcare client in Northern CA. The Business Analyst supports the Operations Project Manager Lead and the broader CA Tower Activation Team by translating operational, clinical, and stakeholder needs into clear requirements, structured documentation, and actionable data. The Business Analyst gathers and analyzes information from departments moving into the California Tower, maintains project tracking tools and readiness documentation, and surfaces trends, gaps, and risks that inform planning and decision-making.

This role provides analytical rigor, documentation discipline, and data management that supports the Operational Readiness team to focus on stakeholder alignment and program-level decisions. The Business Analyst serves as a force multiplier for the team — maintaining the systems of record, preparing materials for governance and readiness reviews, and ensuring that requirements, decisions, risks, and action items are captured accurately and followed through to resolution.

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical & Stakeholder Readiness

• Map current and future-state workflows for departments relocating into the California Tower, identifying gaps between existing processes and new facility capabilities.
• Support simulations, UAT, and operational validation activities by documenting findings, defects, and follow-up actions.
• Assist in evaluating the impact of new systems (EHR, nurse call, patient monitoring, security, communications) on existing department workflows.
• Document business requirements, workflows, operational procedures, and transition plans.
• Evaluate operational impacts of design changes, departmental relocations, and new service models.

Activation Planning & Execution

• Elicit, document, and validate operational and workflow requirements from clinical and non-clinical departments transitioning into the California Tower.
• Translate stakeholder input into clear requirements, process maps, and readiness documentation that the Project Manager and department leaders can act on.
• Maintain templates, checklists, and standard documentation formats used across workstreams to ensure consistency.
• Facilitate readiness reviews and validation activities across stakeholder groups.

Move & Go-Live Coordination

• Support planning and coordination of clinical and operational move activities.
• Track departmental readiness for occupancy, equipment deployment, staff onboarding, and operational testing.
• Coordinate readiness data related to furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies, technology, and staffing.
• Support command center activities during activation and initial occupancy.

Compliance Support

• Assist with preparation for licensing inspections, occupancy reviews, accreditation surveys, and regulatory assessments.
• Monitor completion of compliance-related activities and maintain documentation demonstrating operational readiness.
• Support readiness assessments related to life safety, infection prevention, and emergency preparedness.

Risk, Issue & Program Management

• Develop and maintain operational readiness tools, activation scorecards, and milestone tracking systems.
• Analyze departmental preparedness against activation milestones and occupancy requirements.
• Prepare for and document project meetings, work sessions, and issue-solving sessions, including decisions, action items, and owners.
• Maintain the risk and issue register, action item log, and decision log; follow up with owners to confirm status and drive items to closure.
• Maintain project schedules; update information with program integration master schedule.
• Produce readiness reports and executive dashboards supporting leadership decision-making.
