Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a hospice field visit physician to provide compassionate, patient-centered medical care for individuals with serious, advanced, or terminal illnesses. You will conduct hospice and/or palliative care visits, assess eligibility for hospice, manage pain and symptoms, and support patients and families through goals-of-care discussions.

You will evaluate admissions and recertifications, counsel families, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed MD or DO in the state(s) of practice, with training or experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patients.
• Maintains active DEA license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of hospice and palliative care, including pain and symptom management.
• Familiarity with hospice regulations and Medicare requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and providers.
• (Preferred) Hospice or hospice visit experience

Responsibilities

• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation.
