Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring compassionate veterinarians to provide end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of the families’ homes across Connecticut.

You'll practice independently on the road with strong mentorship and a supportive team, enjoying a schedule designed around your life and the needs of patients.

Qualifications

DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 90 lbs with assistance.
Weekend availability and scheduling flexibility.
License verification and background check will be performed before start.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home hospice care and end-of-life services to pets.
Perform in-home euthanasia with compassionate communication to families.
Work independently in assigned CT locations with team support.
Maintain patient records and coordinate care with families.

At Heartstrings Pet Hospice, we bring gentle hospice and in-home euthanasia care to families right where their pets feel safest: at home, on a favorite blanket, surrounded by the people who love them.

We're looking for a Compassionate Veterinarian who wants to practice medicine that matters, without the pace and pressure of a traditional clinic. Here, you won't be watching the clock or rushing from room to room. You'll be sitting on living room floors, answering hard questions with kindness, and helping families say goodbye with dignity and peace. It's quiet, meaningful work, and the families you serve will remember you for the rest of their lives.

5-Day Full-Time: Guaranteed Salary, Plus Generous Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
4-Day Full-Time: Guaranteed Salary, Plus Generous Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
2 & 3-Day Full-Time & Self Managed Part-Time Schedules: Prorated Compensation Based on Your Schedule including Self Managed Scheduling Options Available called DVM Flex-Scheduling

Guaranteed compensation ranges from $65,000 to $145,000, depending on your schedule, which can range from two days per week up to full time.
