Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is seeking veterinarians to practice compassionate end-of-life care directly in families' homes. You'll work on the road, with a schedule built around 2 to 5 days per week, delivering thoughtful, unhurried care in familiar surroundings.

You'll receive a guaranteed base salary with generous quarterly bonuses, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), PTO, and dedicated onboarding and mentorship.

Qualifications

DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Weekends on your terms with flexible schedule options.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
License verification, background check and driving record review completed before start.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care to pets in familiar home settings.
Practice independently on the road with support from the team.
Offer compassionate conversations to families and help with goodbye process.

You'll be sitting on living room floors, answering hard questions with kindness, and helping families say goodbye with dignity and peace. It's quiet, meaningful work, and the families you serve will remember you for the rest of their lives.

5-Day Full-Time: Guaranteed Salary, Plus Generous Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
4-Day Full-Time: Guaranteed Salary, Plus Generous Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
2 & 3-Day Full-Time & Self Managed Part-Time Schedules: Prorated Compensation Based on Your Schedule including Self Managed Scheduling Options Available called DVM Flex-Scheduling

Guaranteed compensation ranges from $65,000 to $150,000, depending on your schedule, which can range from two days per week up to full time.
