Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks compassionate veterinarians to provide in-home euthanasia and end-of-life care in families’ homes. You’ll practice on the road with mentorship, delivering dignified, gentle support during one of life’s hardest moments.

Choose a 2–5 day schedule with guaranteed salary and generous quarterly bonuses, plus comprehensive benefits and no non-compete. This role offers professional autonomy and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) licensed to practice.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
Weekends on Your Terms; 4 weekend days per month.
License verification, background check, and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home euthanasia and end-of-life care with compassion.
Practice independently on the road with mentorship.
Support families with difficult conversations about pet loss.
Deliver care in a home setting, listening and answering questions.

At Heartstrings Pet Hospice, we bring gentle hospice and in-home euthanasia care to families right where their pets feel safest: at home, on a favorite blanket, surrounded by the people who love them.We're looking for a Compassionate Veterinarian who wants to practice medicine that matters, without the pace and pressure of a traditional clinic. Here, you won't be watching the clock or rushing from room to room. You'll be sitting on living room floors, answering hard questions with kindness, and helping families say goodbye with dignity and peace. It's quiet, meaningful work, and the families you serve will remember you for the rest of their lives.You'll practice independently on the road, but you'll never be on your own. 2 & 3-Day Full-Time & Self Managed Part-Time Schedules: Prorated Compensation Based on Your Schedule including Self Managed Scheduling Options Available called DVM Flex-Scheduling

Guaranteed compensation ranges from $65,000 to $155,000, depending on your schedule, which can range from two days per week up to full time.
