Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Pasadena, CA seeks veterinarians for in-home hospice and euthanasia across Pasadena, Burbank, Altadena and Arcadia. No waiting rooms or corporate dashboards—just you, a family who loves their pet, and the time to do it right.

As a privately held, family-owned and doctor-led practice, we do not use non-compete contracts. We welcome doctors returning from a break or seeking flexible schedules, with weekend rotations and the freedom to practice medicine on your own terms.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Weekend availability (rotational).
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
• Exude compassion, dignity and respect to ALL.
• Professional communication to team and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pet families.
• Communicate clearly with pet families and care teams.
• Ensure compassionate, ethical end-of-life care.
• Collaborate with staff for patient care plans when on-call.
• Document clinical notes and patient records accurately.
• Maintain safety standards in home visits.
• Represent Heartstrings Pet Hospice with professionalism.

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Pasadena, Burbank, Altadena & Arcadia - California.
