Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks compassionate veterinarians to deliver in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets, visiting client homes across Rhode Island. You’ll practice independently with strong team support, maintaining patient comfort and family communication.

Expect a flexible schedule and mentorship from experienced colleagues. You choose the pace and days per week, with generous compensation and benefits designed to support physicians and their families, including ongoing education

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and active U.S. license verification.
• Willingness to practice on the road with in-home visits.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets.
• Conduct in-home euthanasia with dignity and clear communication for families.
• Coordinate with team for mentorship and ongoing professional support.
