Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare seeks veterinarians to provide compassionate end-of-life care in clients homes across Rhode Island and surrounding areas. You will practice medicine on the road with ongoing mentorship, focusing on humane, dignified goodbyes in a comforting setting.

The role emphasizes autonomy with a team that supports your well-being, mentorship, and professional growth, while offering a generous compensation package and no non-compete.

Qualifications

DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Willing to work weekends with flexible scheduling.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
Background check, license verification and driving record review will be completed before start.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care.
Practice independently on the road with mentorship and support.
Explain and guide families through end-of-life decisions with empathy.
Follow safety protocols and maintain scheduling practices.
