Job summary

Qualifications

• Ordained minister or endorsed religious leader; training in pastoral care preferred.
• 1+ year healthcare or death/dying experience.
• Comfort working in an interfaith setting.
• Able to navigate online HR services and training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients, families, and caregivers, directly or by coordinating with others.
• Document spiritual needs and resources in patient charts; update progress notes.
• Offer direct spiritual counsel, prayer, and sacraments when invited.
• Interface with patient/family clergy if requested; support funeral planning when appropriate.
• Present at time of death if requested; provide literature and spiritual resources.
