Job summary

Joseph Hospice in Hattiesburg, MS, is seeking PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice team. The RN must hold a Mississippi license and bring strong patient care skills for terminally ill patients, with emphasis on education and coordination of care.

Two years of RN experience in oncology, acute care, long-term care, hospice, or home health is required; hospice experience is preferred. PRN role offers ESOP benefits and mileage reimbursement while you contribute to compassionate end-of-life

Qualifications

• RN license required in Mississippi
• Minimum 2 years full-time RN experience in oncology, acute care, long-term care, hospice or home health
• Hospice experience preferred
• Assist in developing and implementing the Hospice Plan of Care
• Educate patients and families on Plan of Care, meds, dressings, oxygen, and hospice philosophy

Responsibilities

• Educate patient and family on Plan of Care and medications
• Act as primary liaison between physician, patient/family and hospice team
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records
• Adhere to company policies and compliance guidelines
