Job summary

Empath Health's Hospice of Marion County in Ocala is seeking a caring RN Care Center (PRN) to join the Hospice House team. This role features 12-hour shifts with a minimum of four shifts per month, including some weekend days, and may involve coverage at Summerfield Hospice Houses as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of current active nursing experience.
• Florida RN license is required.
• Valid Florida driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and conduct age-specific assessments, initiating referrals and coordinating with IDT and physicians.
• Develop and update the Plan of Care with patient, family, IDT, and providers to meet goals.
• Administer, monitor and document medications via all routes and provide patient/family teaching.
• Identify learning needs and tailor teaching strategies to patients and families.
• Follow palliative/end-of-life care principles with compassionate care.
• Supervise LPNs and Home Health Aides, coordinating with nursing leadership on patient care.
• Support staffing ratios and participate in disaster preparedness and regulatory activities.
