Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse Clinical Manager to lead clinical operations in our home health and hospice services. This role Supervises nurses and aides, ensures high-quality patient care, and partners with intake to coordinate referrals and admissions.

The RN will manage staff schedules, verify payor requirements, and drive care plans with clinicians while remaining available for on-call support and occasional direct patient care in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports and cooperates with the director of staffing.
• Oversees overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organizes clinical operations for the care center.
• Reviews service requests and determines patient eligibility for home care.
• Coordinates patient referrals and admissions with intake.
• Oversees scheduling and payor verification.
• Ensures documentation is complete and timely.
• Assists clinicians in setting goals and Plan of Care (POC).
• Revises plans as patient needs change, in collaboration with staff.
• May provide direct patient care in emergencies.
• Participates in on-call process and staff training.
• Assists with investigations of concerns from patients, families or physicians.
