Job summary

Hospice of Northwest Ohio is seeking a part-time registered nurse to provide in-home and facility-based care within our hospice program. The role operates from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and requires a valid RN license in Ohio with the ability to obtain Michigan licensure.

A BSN is preferred, along with 2 years of medical-surgical and hospice experience. IV skills and EMR experience (NetSmart) are preferred. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and independent working

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing; BSN preferred.
Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing; must be able to obtain a nursing license in Michigan.
Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience required; homecare, nursing home, and/or hospice experience preferred.
IV skills preferred.
Has EMR charting experience; NetSmart system preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Clinical expertise in critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
Must have a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
CPR certification according to AHA standards.
Understands hospice philosophy and pain/symptom management principles.
