Job summary

Liberty Hospice in Gastonia/Lincoln is seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) per diem to join our compassionate care team. You will apply nursing theories, document care per reimbursement guidelines, and coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the Hospice team.

Requirements include active RN licensure, nursing education from an approved program with two years of clinical experience and at least one year in hospice; CPR; travel as needed; and willingness

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• Nursing education from an approved program with two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of home health and hospice care program and the nurse’s role on the patient care team.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• CPR certification required.
• Willingness to travel and cover weekend/evening/holiday call assignments.

Job Requirements

• Current RN licensure in state of practice, successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing with two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the framework, function, and organization of a home health and hospice care program and the nurse’s role as a member of the patient care team.
• Working knowledge of the principles and practice of nursing according to nursing practice act, agencies policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• CPR certification.
• Accept travel based on agency need as well as weekend/evening and holiday call assignments.
