Job summary

Calvary Hospital in the Bronx is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the evening shift to oversee patient care units. You will utilize the Nursing Process to plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring alignment with NYS standards and hospital geriatric care expectations.

The role requires NY RN licensure, current BLS, and at least five years of clinical practice plus 2–3 years in progressive leadership.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License, registration.
• Current BLS from AHA (American Heart Association), ACLS Certification, optional.
• Demonstrated competence in clinical practice of at least five years.
• Demonstrated competence in a progressive leadership/management position of 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees management of patient care units for a specific tour using the Nursing Process.
• Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates patient care unit operations and staff.
• Interacts with nursing staff and other departments to assure effective resource utilization.
• Monitors and evaluates patient care according to NYS Nurse Practice Act and Calvary standards.
