Job summary

Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Care team. The PA will provide clinical management, lead serious illness conversations, and support goals of care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

This role collaborates with physicians, APPs, social workers, and chaplains in a team-based model. Daily daytime schedule, no on-call requirements, and a mission-driven environment focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current/Eligible Physician Assistant Certification and Arizona License.
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.

Responsibilities

• Clinical management of palliative care patients.
• Leading serious illness conversations with patients and their families.
• Managing malignant pain and complex symptom control.
• Providing inpatient end-of-life care.
• Offering consultations on goals of care and advance care planning.
• Collaborating closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based care model.
