Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Assured Hospice in-home LPN role focuses on delivering quality patient care in the home, under RN supervision, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities.

Strong candidates hold current LPN licensure, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and hospice experience are preferred; salary is based on market factors with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred and Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled nursing services under the supervision of a staff RN daily.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations.
• Assists the physician and/or staff RN in performing specialized procedures as needed.
• Assists the patient with daily activities and encourages appropriate self-care daily.
• Reports to the patient's physician and other appropriate personnel regarding pertinent changes in the patient's condition as needed.
• Performs complex wound care if in-service is documented for specific procedure daily or as needed.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
