Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking Hospice CNAs to join our growing team. This role offers up to $26/hour, new competitive salaries, immediate openings, and a comprehensive benefits package starting on the first of the month.

You will provide personal care, assist with meals, dressing, and observe skin conditions, reporting changes to the Case Manager. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide (Nurse Aide certification).
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record showing ability to deliver patient care.
• Must be at least 18 years old unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent tissue breakdown.
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
