Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Hospice Nursing Aide to assist with patient personal care in the home setting. You will support bathroom routines, bathing and dressing while maintaining dignity and comfort for hospice patients.

You will collaborate with supervising RNs and care teams to ensure timely updates on patient progress and family needs, while adhering to state requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
• Must possess a valid state driver license.
• Must be listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care for hospice patients, including changing bedding, changing clothing, bathing and maintaining hygiene; support families in caring for terminally ill relatives; coordinate with supervising RNs to keep team informed of patient progress and family needs.

Responsibilities

Our Hospice Nursing Aides assist with various personal care issues including changing bedding, changing clothing, bathing hospice patients, and helping with hygienic routines such as brushing teeth, washing hair and keeping wound dressings clean and dry. Our Hospice Nursing Aides may assist patients' family members in caring for their terminally ill relatives by instructing them on how to go about performing basic health‑care routines. Nursing Aides consult on a regular basis with their supervising registered nurses in terms of keeping hospice team members apprised of our patients' progression and the families' needs.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements. 1) have a minimum of one year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); 2) have one year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting.
• Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
• Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
