Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Hospice Nursing Aide to assist with personal care for terminally ill patients in a home-based setting. Responsibilities include helping with bathing, dressing, and hygiene, while supporting families and coordinating with supervising RNs on patient progression.

Applicants must have a valid driver license, CPR certification, and experience in direct client care. State registry in good standing is required, with basic tech skills for mobile devices.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: 1) minimum of one year full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting; 2) one year of direct client care in home health or hospice in the last five years.
• Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
• Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
• May demonstrate an active willingness to learn the required skills in lieu of existing technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks for hospice patients (bedding, dressing, bathing, grooming) and support hygienic routines.
• Coordinate with supervising RNs and families to communicate patient progression and needs.

Responsibilities

Enhabit Hospice Nursing Aides assist with various personal care issues including changing bedding, changing clothing, bathing hospice patients and helping with hygienic routines such as brushing teeth, washing hair and keeping wound dressings clean and dry. Our Hospice Nursing Aides may assist patients' family members in caring for their terminally ill relatives by instructing them on how to go about performing basic health-care routines. Nursing Aides consult on a regular basis with their supervising registered nurses in terms of keeping hospice team members apprised of our patients' progression and the families' needs.
