Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice seeks Hospice Nursing Aides to provide compassionate personal care for hospice patients in the home setting. You will assist with bathing, grooming, and daily routines, while supporting families in basic care tasks under nursing supervision.

The role requires current CNA registry status, valid driver's license, and dependable transportation. Training and ongoing development are offered to advance in home-based care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year direct client care experience in an institutional setting or in home health/hospice within the last five years.
• Must be registered and in good standing on the nurse aide registry for the employment state.
• Basic demonstrated technology skills, including mobile device use.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing hospice patients and hygiene routines.
• Help with bedding changes, clothing changes and wound dressing care as guided.
• Educate and support families on basic care tasks under RN supervision.
• Coordinate with supervising RNs to track patient progression and family needs.

Responsibilities

Enhabit Hospice Nursing Aides assist with various personal care issues including changing bedding, changing clothing, bathing hospice patients and helping with hygienic routines such as brushing teeth, washing hair and keeping wound dressings clean and dry. Our Hospice Nursing Aides may assist patients' family members in caring for their terminally ill relatives by instructing them on how to go about performing basic health-care routines. Nursing Aides consult on a regular basis with their supervising registered nurses in terms of keeping hospice team members apprised of our patients' progression and the families' needs.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements. 1) have a minimum of one year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); 2) have one year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting.
• Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
• Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
