Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide hands-on care in patients' homes, assisted living, or inpatient units. You will support daily living activities, comfort, and emotional well-being for end-of-life care.

Requirements include an active CNA license, CPR certification, and a minimum of six months of direct patient care. Compensation varies by location and experience, with a comprehensive benefits package available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Six or more months of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers or wheelchairs.
• Prepare meals, assist feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report patient changes to the team.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Document visits accurately and timely.
• Participate in team meetings and QI activities.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
