Job summary

Ambercare Hospice in Belen, NM seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care, monitor patients, assist with activities of daily living, and support families in the home setting.

You will work Monday through Friday with a daytime schedule, engage in teamwork with case managers, and contribute to high-quality, dignified care while pursuing professional development and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Maintains CPR Certification.
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record.
• 18 years of age or older per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue.
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
