Job summary

Hospice of North Alabama in Florence, AL is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to join our team. You will provide dignified care at a critical time, assisting patients with daily living activities and supporting families.

Your role includes personal care, mobility assistance, medication help, emotional support, and teamwork with the interdisciplinary staff to ensure comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR certification and maintain it.
• Complete at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; 16 hours prior to mandatory 16 hours of practical training.
• Minimum six months of personal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 personal care (bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with mobility, ROM, and safe equipment use.
• Assist with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Light housekeeping and meal assistance; maintain clean space.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
